Porsche Panamera Launched in India

Porsche AG extends the success stories of 911, SUV Cayenne and Boxter in India and launched the new luxury sports car Panamera in the country on Thursday. The new 4-door sports car was revealed at the exclusive function in Mumbai. The model was first revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show 2009 and it will be available in three variants in India and will carry a hefty price tag of Rs. 2 crore for Turbo model up to Rs. 4 crore for 4S and S model.

Panamera derives its name from the Carrera Panamericana race and the company plans to develop the hybrid variant as well of the new Panamera in India. Porsche introduces new luxury car features for the first time in India with the launch of Panamera. One of such exclusive features include start-stop feature in conjunction with automatic transmission. Porsche Panamera Turbo sports a a multi-stage adjustable rear spoiler moving up when required.

Precision Cars are the official imports of Porsche cars in India and has already received 13 confirmed bookings for the car. Porsche also intends to open more dealerships in Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Bangalore.
