New Honda Jazz Special Edition Launched

Honda Siel Cars India Limited launched a special edition model of its small car model Honda Jazz in India priced at Rs. 7.21 lakh. Honda Jazz bagged the coveted “Car of the Year” award from NDTV Profit Car India Bike India Awards 2010. The company launched this special edition model to celebrate the achievement. "The select edition of Honda Jazz would start getting despatched to the Honda dealerships from this week and will be available at the outlets from next week," said Honda spokesperson.

Honda had introduced its small car model last year in June but the model had failed to generate volumes for the company due to its hefty price tag. However, the car continues to be premium hatchback with unparalleled features and luxury offered by no other car in its segment. New Honda Jazz is powered by 1.2L i-VTEC engine with 5-speed manual transmission.

Honda is now planning to launch a new small car model in the Indian market early next year. The concept model was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010. Honda’s new small car is especially being developed for the emerging markets like India. This new car is expected to help Honda penetrate deeper into the Indian market and generate volume sales thereby occupying larger market share.
