New Fiat Topolina Sketches and Pictures

Fiat has promised to bring a new car for its customers that will be ultra-cheap and placed well-below the existing line up. The new sketches revealed for Fiat has not confirmed whether its new budget car will carry Topolina name.

According to the sketches, the basic design of the car suggests that Fiat intends to keep the price well below 6500 Euros or Rs. 4.58 lakh. The car will be less than three meters long. It is expected to carry new two-cylinder petrol engine that will come in both normally aspirated and turbocharged form, producing around 65bhp and 90bhp respectively.

Fiat intends to portray the car with different brand images in different markets. In richer markets, it intends to place it as a small stylish car while in developing choice it will be portrayed as a value choice. It is expected to go on sale in Europe by mid-2010. After Citroen 2CV has been pulled from the European markets, this will be the only 2-cylinder car in European countries. Fiat may produce this car at its Zastava plant in Kragujevac, Serbia.
