New CB Twister from Honda at Delhi Auto Expo

08 December, 2009, 10:10 IST by Satish Kalepu

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited will be launching its 110cc motorcycle christened as CB Twister at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2010. It will be a niche bike in commuter segment but will not be competing with Hero Honda Splendor or Passion. The stylish new bike from Honda carries definite muscular looks and is expected to be a sophisticated machine that is tradition of Honda vehicles.

The 110 cc engine is not expected to deliver power output of more than 8bhp. It looks tiny and comes with plastic bits attached to the tank. There are not many details available about the vehicle but the spy shots reveal some of the features like alloy wheels, a front disc brake, and drums at the rear along with twin shock absorbers. A kick-starter is also present but it is expected that the bike will also have electric start option. The basic designing and parts of the bike have been inspired from bigger CB 1000R (aka Hornet), CB 300R, CBX 250 and CBF Stunner.

The new bike will be priced between Rs. 40,000 -45,000. However, its final price and technical specifications will be available only at the Delhi Auto Expo when the bike is officially unveiled.
