New BMW Z4 Roadster in India on October 12
BMW India is ready to introduce its latest two-seater Roadster Z4 in India. This rear-wheel drive sports car will be unveiled at Couture Week at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai. Mr. Peter Kronschnabl, President, BMW India will be addressing the press briefing and will share the highlights of BMW India’s market activities and performance in India.
The second generation Z4 sports car will be imported from BMW’s plant in Regensberg in Germany. Although the final price of the car is not revealed, it is expected to fall in the range of Rs. 50-60 lakh. According to the sources, the new Z4 model would be equipped with the straight 6-cylinder petrol, 258bhp engine, which can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 250 km.
BMW already holds the number one position in India’s luxury car market. It surpassed Mercedes sales figures few months back this year. It is now planning to launch a new petrol model of 7-series in India. This car will also be launched as a completely built unit with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 93 lakh.
