Skoda is bringing new and powerful Fabia in the UK market next year. It will not only have 178bhp but also more aggressive styling. The new Fabia gets its engine from Seat Ibiza Cupra which has the 1.4-litre ‘Twincharger’ unit. The engine is capable of propelling the car to 100 kmph in around 7sec and on to 200 kmph making it a car that delivers brisk performance.

The new Fabia also sports a trendier and sporty look discarding the conservative styling of vRS which will make the new model stand out distinctly amongst other existing Fabia models in the market. The car will be unveiled by early 2010 and will hit the roads sometime later in the year. It will be equipped with 7-speed gearbox with paddle-shift with prices starting at Rs. 12.08 lakh.

Apart from bringing the new Fabia, Skoda has already revealed new Skoda Superb Estate at the Frankfurt Auto Show last month. The car will arrive in the UK next spring and the company expects sales of at least 1500 units annually. The car has Octavia-inspired styling and features an electric tailgate and power panoramic roof. The engine line-up will include the three petrols and three diesels from the current Superb range, linked to five and six-speed gearboxes. DSG dual-clutch transmissions will also be an option.
