Nano Enters the Used Car Market

It has been only 6 months since Tata Nano first rolled out on Indian roads. The car has already entered the used car market owing to the displeasure of the owners. While some of them believe that driving Nano is below their status others have experienced lack of driving comfort. “Some affluent people had purchased it because of the craze,” said Suresh Ramnani, senior sales executive with Jolly Motors. “But when they found that it was not as comfortable as the cars they had been using earlier, they decided to sell off their Nano.”

According to YD Sood, president of Auto Friend Owners Association, people had unrealistic expectations from Nano which resulted in their dismal.

However, there are many customers owners who had actually booked the car only to resell it in market and earn a premium over it. 15 such Nanos have already entered the market for re-sale. The LX model of Nano which was purchased for Rs. 1.81 lakh is being sold in the market at Rs. 2.05 lakh.
