Mitsubishi Out With Outlander in India
SUV car market in India has shown phenomenal growth in past two years. It has grown by 32% in 2008 as compared to the last financial year. After Toyota Innova, Tata Sumo Grande, India would witness Outlander on its roads.
The Japanese car maker, Mitsubishi, is ready with its new SUV for India. It plans to enter the fast growing Sports Utility vehicle market in India with its Outlander. It shall be amongst the newest SUVs on the Indian roads that would catch the onlooker’s attention.

The new outlander shall be priced between 15.5 to 16 lakhs and shall be powered by the 2.4 liter MIVEC petrol engine and 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The new car shall compete with Honda’s CRV, Maruti’s Grand Vitara, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Endeavour and GM Chevrolet Captiva.
Mitsubishi already marks its presence in the Indian SUV market with its Pajero but the new Outlander shall be a complete different from its earlier models. Apart from the new models, Mitsubishi also plans to open new dealerships and strengthen its market network to sell more cars.
