Mini Cooper Convertible
Supercharged Mini Cooper S convertible is the latest compact convertible priced around Rs. 13.64 lakh and above. The model is laden with host of features including fully electric roof, Park Distance Control and 16-inch ‘X liter alloy wheels. It is powered by 6-speed manual gearbox and 1.6-liter turbocharged I4 FWD engine.
The Mini Cooper S Convertible is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 7.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 215 kmph. The new supercharged engine shifts in fourth gear from 80 to 120kmph in just 6.6 seconds. The roof folds away flawlessly at the touch of a button. It also has an option of simply folding the front half of the fabric roof for a large sunroof effect. Wind buffeting is also not very rough even when the windows are down making it possible to still converse and/or enjoy listening to music or a ballgame while motoring top down. The boot has 120 liters of storage space.
The car needs to be set for “Sport” option each time the car is started which is quite confusing. Since the car is a sports model, the default settings are expected to be set on Sports option with a variation for those who wish to have the vanilla settings. Overall the new Supercharged Mini Cooper S is one of the best models and a fantastic compact convertible.
