Used luxury cars in India have a large customer base and luxury carmakers are gradually tying up loose ends to organise the same. Mercedes Benz is promoting its pre-owned car business – “Proven Exclusivity” in India. Mercedes is planning to bring the cost of owning a Mercedes vehicle to as low as Rs 15 lakh. "Now we are bringing this to India to make the dream of many customers to own a Mercedes Benz even more achievable," Mercedes Benz India Managing Director and CEO Wilfried Aulbur had said at the time of launching its used car business.

“Proven Exclusivity” restored pre-owned Mercedes vehicles are nearly flawless and are accompanied with one year warranty from the car manufacturer itself. This gives a complete peace of mind to the customers for owning the car for its spares and after-sales service as well.

Initially the program has been launched in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Ahmadabad and Chennai. There will be 6-8 more additional outlets before the end of this year.

Commenting on the company's plans to foray into car finance, Aulbur said Mercedes Benz is keen to have a presence in this area, as "70 per cent of car sales in India are financed".
