Mercedes Benz brings Maybach once again into India

Mercedes Benz has finally brought out its much anticipated super luxury brand Maybach for a second time in India on February 2, during the Company’s 125th birthday celebration. At the outset, company has introduced two limousines from Maybach’s portfolio, the Maybach 57S and 62 whereas other models will be taken in later on.

Even if the price of the cars is quite high, nonetheless company has shown its belief in India's high economic growth rate and the burgeoning buying capacity of Indian consumers. Mr. Honegg, a Mercedes Benz official, said at the vehicle launch that these two models have been typically designed, keeping all features and functions to make them suitable for Indian conditions.

As far as the engine capacity and performance of the newly launched beauties are concerned, it’s surely impressive. The Maybach 57 S comes fitted with a 6.0 L, 630 bhp engine which churns out peak torque of 1000 Nm. The Maybach 62 on the other hand has a 5.5 L, 550 bhp motor which too has proved itself to be a great performer across the globe. Both the engines are 12 Cylinder and carry 5 speed automatic gear transmission.

The Maybach 57 S and 62 cost around 4.85 crore and 5.1 crore respectively, which brings this super luxury vehicle into the super exclusive category indeed!
