With this good news, the reports have also stated that the company will fire around 500 workers, who were the member of deadly incident that cause the demise of company’s senior HR executive and leaving over hundred others blooded. Apart from the dent in reputation, the auto major also faced a revenue loss of million dollars.
On speculations that are making rounds of the fact that the company will soon recruit new workers, Chairman of the company, RC Bhargava affirmed that the car maker will have no qualms with the selection of local labour at its Manesar and Gurgaon facilities. The Chairman's announcement could please the local population as prior to the incident MSIL attracted a lot of ridicule in its failure to recruit more locals from the neighbouring southern Haryana villages and towns.
The Village Panchayats were delighted with the news but were miffed with the local and state governments' constant disregard towards their promises of providing local youth with suitable job opportunities. The fact is well evident that the government bought land from the villagers at a price well beneath the market price by assuring them the jobs and that explains the villagers' annoyance with the state government.
Bhargava further expressed his grief on the unfortunate incident and was shocked with the manner things escalated and resulted. He affirmed that they have formulated a new way for facilitating relationship between management and labour force with enhanced security through which another similar incident can be avoided.
