Maruti Suzuki’s First Fully Made in India Car
Maruti Suzuki India is gearing up to launch its fully made-in-India car in the next four years. The engineers at MSI have started the ground work for the car which is conceived, designed and developed fully in India. The model of the car still remains unknown as the company officials decline to declare whether it will be a small car or a bigger one. The company aims to launch a complete product of its own and launching a fully made in India car will be a major step in achieving the goal.
Maruti Udyog Limited was first set up in 1981 and had lated set up a joint venture with Suzuki Motors of Japan. The company, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, has recently launched its successful model, Maruti A-Star, in India. It is the fifth international model from the Maruti product portfolio.
MSI has decided to increase its Research and Development strength to 1000 by the year 2010. Currently, there are 570 engineers working on the project. These engineers had played a major role in development of A-Star which is the fifth international model in its product portfolio.

Yes definitely Maruthi will produce a completely indian made car.. The new car from Maruti suzuki the topmost car company in India ,A-Star is really a Star .. surely it will create a new record like Alto, swift etc.. Im also a proud owner of two Maruti suzuki cars, Alto LXi and Swift VDi.. Surely my next car will be A-star or Dzire or SX4... congrats Maruti Suzuki...
