Kawasaki Bajaj Ninja to Launch in India

Kawasaki Bajaj is ready to launch its latest model Ninja 250R motorcycle in India. This entry level sports bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Technical specifications of the Indian model are yet to be confirmed but a teaser website of Kawasaki Bajaj Ninja 250R is already uploaded by the company. Kawasaki Bajaj will be begin bookings of the company by Diwali and deliveries will be made immediately.

According to Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj, the company is also planning to launch a new version of Pulsar in next three months. "We are experiencing production shortage in case of Discover and Pulsar motorbikes as the sales of these two models are jointly expected to hit 1,30,000 mark,” he said. “Also, the availability of the tyres for these vehicles is under pressure. This has resulted into certain waiting period for these two models," he added.

By March 2010, Bajaj Auto intends to launch three new models in commercial vehicle segment and passenger vehicle segment. What remains to be seen is how the latest entry level Kawasaki Bajaj Ninja 250R is taken by the Indian customers.
