Jaguar Land Rover rolls out 1,100 new job opportunities in UK

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has recently declared its plans to expand the company’s workforce by creating over 1100 new jobs opportunities in UK. JLR is the region’s largest automobile employer, be it on the grounds of designing, engineering or manufacturing. The brand has created these jobs to produce new models, including the new XF Sportbrake, at its advanced Castle Bromwich production facility located in the West Midlands Coventry.

It can be a significant step for the unemployed workforce of the country who is currently facing a job crunch. As a part of strategy, the auto giant will launch a recruitment campaign for hiring the production operators. Vince Cable, Business Secretary, said, “This is fantastic news for Castle Bromwich that Jaguar Land Rover is creating more than 1,000 jobs to support the production of new models at the plant. This expansion is a clear demonstration of Jaguar Land Rover's continuing commitment and investment in the UK.”

CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, Dr. Ralf Speth, quoted, “Innovation in design, engineering and technology is at the core of our business and for the UK, this means we will continue to invest in new products, develop new technologies and enhance the skills of our employees. The launch of our latest Jaguar models, including the new XF Sportbrake later this year, means it is a very exciting time for Jaguar. These new models will attract new customers to the brand as we look to expand our global reach and further enhance our position in the market.”

Adding to the statement of Dr. Speth, the HR Director of the company, Des Thurlby commented, “We have embarked on the most ambitious recruitment campaign in the company's history, hiring 8,000 people in the last two years. We provide high quality training and development for all of our employees so this latest announcement for 1,100 jobs is great news for the West Midlands and the UK supply chain.”

Besides, the company believes that the manufacturing and launch of new Jaguar models will help it to generate thousands of jobs in other supporting sectors. Five years down the line, the auto maker targets to deliver 40 noteworthy product actions, which will surely help it to further consolidate its position in the global arena. As per the information, the new 2013 Model Year XF and XJ ranges will be produced in the Castle Bromwich manufacturing unit of JLR. These models will hold new powertrains and transmission systems, featuring better fuel efficiency and state-of-the-art technology. This mighty vehicle will be the brand's most versatile model till date and will boasts of a load bearing capacity of up to 1675 litres.

The leading automobile manufacturer has witnessed improvement in its sales every year among all of its major markets, including China, USA and Europe. Over 29,000 vehicles were sold by the manufacturer in the global arena during the first half of the year. With the five digit figures, the luxury car maker reported a growth of 19 per cent against the data of corresponding period last year.
