Shah Rukh Khan was present for the unveiling of the i10 Electric. It was extremely busy fan fare at the Hyundai Pavilion especially due to SRK’s presence for the launch.
“on a personal front..the launch was good...the lunch even better with my in laws in delhi. as for me i believe our future is our thoughts...” commented SRK on Twitter after the launch.
The new i10 electric has a 49kW (66.6 PS) electric motor under the hood that will power its front wheels. The electricity will be stored in its 16 kWh lithium-ion battery pack - the same type of battery powering our cell-phones and other electronic devices. The i10 launch date for India is not currently finalized although it will be initially produced in small numbers and sold in the Korean market. The i10 electric is capable of reaching 130kmph and goes 160kms per charge. It has the latest Lithium Polymer battery with low weight high strength steel which makes the car light and allows for such figures. 0-100 time is about 15 seconds.
