Honda Civic Sports in India
Honda launched limited edition of sports variants of its popular model, Honda Civic. The new Civic sports is powered by similar 1.8 litre petrol engine that currently drives the existing Civic model, however, it has some of its unique features as well. The new Sports variant has underspoilers in front and sides and trunkspoilers at the rear and rear under. It flashes an extremely sporty look with its alloy wheels on the exterior. The interiors bespeak of plush decor with auto climate control AC and integrated 2-DIN and a 6 CD changer. It even has a sports serial number plate.

The Japanese car maker has achieved the target of selling 3 lakh cars in India. It made its foray in the Indian car market in 1997. “We have crossed three lakh units since inception in India. To commemorate this achievement, we are launching a sports variant of sedan Civic," commented an HSCI official.
Honda has made an investment of Rs. 1620 crore in India and further plans to invest another Rs. 1000 crore to set up a second plant in Rajasthan that would roll out Honda's compact car in India. It currently has a manufacturing capacity of 100,000 units.
