Haryana police secures Maruti’s Manesar plant

Please fill your name and email ID to get our daily auto news mailer.A day after a serious violence erupted at country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar plant on Wednesday, the state police said that it has secured the plant and the company can start the production whenever it want. The violence of Wednesday had claimed the life of a senior management official.
More than 1300 policeman have been deployed by the Haryana Police at this plant, out of which about 9 got injured during the clashes, yesterday.
Speaking to the reporters in Manesar, Joint Commissioner of Police Anil Kumar said, "The plant is completely secured here and whenever the company wants to open the plant and start production, it can."
According to him, out of 85 people injured during the clashes at Maruti’s Manesar plant 62 have been discharged from the hospital after primary treatment. However, about 23 people including 2 Japanese are still in hospital under treatment.
In a statement released yesterday, the company said, "We will shortly announce our decision on the next steps with regard to resuming operations in these facilities"
