Ferrari V6 Possible
Autocar reports that Ferrari boss Amerdeo Felisa has admitted a V6 engine is definitely possible in future but a Ferrari will never be an electric model.
“If I had to answer the question a year ago I would have said no, but attitudes are changing and we build cars for customers," said Felisa. "In 20 years, who can say?” commented Felisa when asked about a possibility of V6 engine powering future Ferraris.
“If you look at global warming, the right solution is not full electric. It’s more a marketing solution than a real one, sound is just as important as design and performance for Ferrari. We will not make engine sounds with speakers,” he added.
A successor to Enzo and an open-topped 458 Italia is also underway. Felisa confirmed these speculations while talking about the V6 engine to Autocar.
