Delhi Auto Expo – General Motors
General Motors India has performed well in the year 2009. It steps into a new year with some beautiful promises for the Indian customers. General Motors will launch its new small car model Chevrolet Beat on January 04 – a day ahead of the start of Delhi Auto Expo. The new model will be available on display at the auto event. The model has been given a certificate of 18.6 kmpl fuel efficiency and will have three variants – Base, LS and LT. the model will be quite close to Chevrolet U-VA but will not compete in the same segment but will cater to different niche customers.
The company will display six production vehicles and concept vehicles including Hybrid Option Volt, the Sports Car Chevrolet Camaro, WTCC Cruze, Captiva Extreme, Spark Electric and Aveo CNG.
General Motors will also introduce its new automatic variant of Chevrolet Cruze which has been taken well by Indian customers. Cruze was launched earlier this year and now the company intends to introduce its automatic variant to deliver good volumes.
General Motors’s pony muscle car – Camaro will also be on display at the Auto Expo but the model is not Indian bound soon. It will be only for the display purpose and will be a part of brand building exercise for the company.
