Chevrolet Spark aka Beat – International Model
Chevrolet launched its latest small car model Chevy Beat in India in January. The company has introduced the model in the UK market as Chevrolet Spark. The small car segment in the international markets is also growing exponentially where commuters are actively seeking small car models to commute in urban traffic.
Chevrolet Spark comes as the latest introduction in the UK market that redefines style and is made to serve the booming small car segment. The car goes on sale in the entire European market in the first quarter of 2010 and is exciting buyers from India to Africa and stretching out from Australia to America.
“We’ve styled and engineered the Chevrolet Spark so that it can compete anywhere in the world where there’s a demand for mini cars and the benefits they bring,” said Jack Keaton, vehicle line executive for the new model. “The Spark is, first and foremost, a car that offers great economy and maneuverability, yet it is also quite sophisticated. We think it will turn heads with an aggressively stylish design and we think it’s going to make a lot of drivers happy with its dynamic ride and handling abilities."
The style of the car is definitely accentuated with prominent roofline and muscular features. The interiors also attribute spaciousness and easily operable controls. The international model of Chevrolet Spark comes with Vehicle Stability Enhancement System that offers extraordinary safety and controlling benefits. 60 percent of the car's content is made from advanced steel making it one of the safest cars in the small car segment. The model is available with two engine options – 1.0L and 1.2L petrol engine.
