Chevrolet Aveo Spied Testing in Snow

25 January, 2010, 10:10 IST by Payal Pathak

General Motors had introduced the new Chevy Aveo RS Concept car at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show where it had received a fairly warm welcome from the audience. The production model still remains to be seen though! On the other hand, the upcoming Chevrolet Aveo was spied testing in cold weather on Colmis grounds at Arjeplog, Sweden.

These recent pictures reveal for the first time interiors of the new small hatch model of Chevy Aveo RS ready to hit the streets as early as mid-2010. Interiors reveal the dual analog-digital gauges mounted on the steering column while the center remains mainly untouched. The camouflage on the car did not reveal many details about the exteriors except for the sharply tapered nose and headlights promising to be the same aggressive pair that was showcased in the concept model.

The new Chevrolet Aveo showcased at the Detroit Auto Show is aimed at young enthusiasts and carries hot European looks that previews the next generation Aveo. "The Aveo RS concept shows clearly that we are ready to make a big step forward in the small car segment," said Chevrolet Europe president and managing director, Wayne Brannon. "Coming to Europe in 2011, the new Aveo will be completely in tune with the striking new Cruze and Spark, our all-new compact and mini entries."
