GM India showcased Chevrolet Camaro at the recent Delhi Auto Expo 2010 where it stated that the model is only for the display purpose and does not have any plans to introduce the model in India soon. However, it is widely speculated that the Chevrolet Camaro and Chevrolet Corvette may soon be heading towards Indian shores. These cars will be sold in select showrooms and in small numbers as they will be imported as completely built units making them pricy models.

These models will not be considered as volume models by General Motors but will be a part of brand building exercise in India.
