Best Spy Pictures of Audi A8

11 September, 2009, 10:10 IST by Satish Kalepu

There are the spy pictures of the new Audi A8 which is set to unveil in the international market later this year. It is made of weight saving aluminum space frame and is 10cm longer than the original model. The new Audi A8 is expected to go on sale in the UK in early 2010. The car has been spied testing around Nurburgring for several months now but has been heavily disguised so far. It is also expected to get a cleaner and more efficient range of engines, including 3.0-litre and 4.2-litre V8s.

Audi is set to trigger a new aluminum revolution with its new A8 model in the auto industry. The official teaser released as part of the automaker’s centenary celebrations earlier this year, revealed a few more design details for the A8, including the now-signature Audi LED daytime running lights and what seems like a much shorter stance. However, these new spy shots reveal much clearer proportions of the actual model.

"The first generation [of the A8] was very dogmatic and product-design-like. With the second generation, the theme was 'elegance'—softer, flowing lines. The upcoming third generation will be stronger, sharper, and more precise." Sielaff also revealed that the new A8 will be “the first of a new styling language at Audi,” says Audi’s chief designer Stefan Sielaff.
