Bentley outperforms in China

August 25, 2011, 14:56 IST by Cartradeindia Editorial Team

Bentley outnumbers its own sales performances of the previous occasions by beating the previous sales record with a humongous difference of 66 percent. This implies that the company has dominated its previous figures and has made all previous achievements look like dwarfs. Talking about 2010, Bentley showed a very ordinary performance by selling just a thousand cars in China. However, the figures were almost double than the previous year’s performance. It led the company to consider China as the third most 'to be focussed' market.

But, the big surprise was about to come. In the first four months of 2011, Bentley was made to consider China higher in terms of focus than U.S. Approximately, at the global level, one out of four Bentleys are now sold in China. The achievement is being recognised with much more hype and exuberance because the real party is still expected to come. The real party being the revelations of the new Volkswagen Continental GT and new Volkswagen Mulsanne. This means that the company has already attained terrific results and also the two new models which follow are already been booked by people in the rest of the world. Therefore, the mode of sales is expected to change into a better figure throughout the year.

China being the hot favourite of the company, this is the first time that Bentley has held the Worldwide Dealer Conference in Beijing. The conference would give an idea about how the country is drastically changing in the area of the automobile market as well in the preferences of its buyers.

Bentley is optimistic about the sales performance to ascend through time and thus mulls upon to expand its Chinese dealer network by one third in 2011 alone. Bentley has commitments to fulfil that have been made with whole of the world, however China being the blue-eyed country can expect more from the maker.
