Bentley Mulsanne Launched in India
Bentley introduced its grand tourer model Mulsanne in India for the crème luxury car buyers in the country. This super luxury is powered by 6.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine, which can produce 512 bhp with 1,020 Nm torque. The super luxury beast can be customised completely as per buyer’s requirements and choice of luxury. The car needs 660 hours to be completed as per buyer’s specifications which makes it completely “hand made”, says Chris Buxton regional director (the Middle East, Africa and India) Bentley. A normal car takes only 5-6 hours to be made completely in a production plant.
The car is available in 625 colours and the interiors can be completely made to order which makes it pricy with a hefty price tag of Rs. 2.9 crores. "We have debuted this car in the Indian market for Bentley car connoisseurs. India has a very strong and vibrant economy. We are very hopeful about the future prospects of our business here," said Chris Buxton. The car will be available to Indian customers by October- November 2010. Bentley produces approximately 600 units of cars annually but the company has not assigned a fixed number of cars for Indian customers.
