Bajaj Intends to Sell 1 Mn Units Annually with Bajaj Pulsar 135
Bajaj Pulsar is one of the most successful models from Bajaj Auto. It currently sells 50,000 Pulsars annually and “with the introduction of this variant we hope to sell 35,000 more per month, which will help in reaching our goal of 1 million a year in the coming financial year," said Milind Bade, Bajaj Auto General Manager (Marketing)at the launch of Pulsar 135 LS. He also stated that the company intends to increase the "the size of the pie." By the end of the next financial year, it expects market share of sports bike to increase from 16 percent to 20-25 percent.
Pulsar 135LS is the only light sports bike in the country. It is also the only bike in the world that has four-valve DTSi engine. Recently, the bike has also been adjudged as the ET-Zigwheels Bike of the Year 2009. The model clearly reciprocates the fun that a bike stands for, clubbed with perfect combination of ease of use and practicality. Bajaj Pulsar 135LS topped the chart amongst the 12 bikes that were driven, ridden and judged by the jury of ET-Zigwheels.
With the biking culture gaining popularity in India, Bajaj hopes to encash upon the growing trend.
