Audi A7 and Audi S1 To Take Charge of the US Market

German luxury car maker Audi says its new 4-door coupe Audi A7 will offer quality of A8 with a lower price tag. The new A7 will sport better quality interiors which will match that of A8 2011 model. It will compete directly with the BMW 5 series Gran Tourismo and Mercedes Benz CLS.

The new gorgeous coupe concept car takes the German car maker into a new area of luxury market. The new A7 Sportsback model is production-ready with super-clean 222bhp 3.0-litre V6 TDI diesel engine, which emits just 156g/km of CO2, and sports a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

Apart from the new A7 model, Audi is all set to introduce the new Audi A1 junior hatchback model as well as the S version of the car. The car will compete against Mini Cooper S and Alfa Romeo’s MiTo Cloverleaf model. The car goes on sale in 2011.

The new S1 model is largely based on VW Polo GTI model and will be powered by turbo-charged 1.4L, direct-injection 4-cylinder engine making 180-hp and a peak torque of 184 lb-ft. Audi A1 S version will not use company’s Quattro system but will be a high performance car without all-wheel drive option.
