The British luxury car brand Aston Martin is getting set to enter the Indian market. The company is already in talks with various dealerships in India to appoint its dealers in the country. However, the talks are still in very nascent stage. “We are actively looking at the Indian market,” the spokesperson, who didn’t want to be named, said over the telephone from Aston Martin’s headquarters in Warwickshire, England.

Aston Martin is contemplating on its options about models to be launched in India. The luxury car market is expanding in India. In 2008, Indian luxury market was the only one that ended with a positive note and a promising outlook. Even 2009 had been quite successful for luxury car makers in India. Aston Martin now intends to encash upon the growing sentiments of luxury car buyers.

“The luxury car market is tilted to fresh arrivals as the buyer in this segment is always looking for exclusivity,” said Deepesh Rathore, managing director with business analyst IHS Global Insight. “Hence there will always be potential for a new player entering the market,” he added.
