All New Ford Fiesta in India by end 2009

Ford launched its new Fiesta 1.6S model with 101PS petrol Duratec engine in June this year. The new model is priced at Rs. 7.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). Next year, India shall witness 5 door Fiesta sedans in the country by end-2009 or early 2010.

The new model has been designed and developed by the European arm of the Ford's global production team. It shall be on sale in Africa, Asia, Australia, China, Europe and the US between now and 2010. The launches shall begin this year in October from Europe.

The all new model defines Ford's vision of 'One Ford' which embodies a single, global company designing and building cars for a single, global customer base, not divided by regional or national borders. It shall definitely a better model than the existing one in India. It shall be laden with better safety equipments with ABS, ESP and multiple airbags.

‘The new Fiesta is a clear example that making a safe car doesn’t mean making a large car, or a heavy car. There is no need to compromise between safety and good design or driving character,’ says Bernd Liesenfelder, Body Engineering Manager for Ford Europe.

The Managing director, Date: 10 Dec 09 Ford Fista. Sub:- Purchased ford fiesta ZXi 1.6 on 28 oct 09. Dear Managing Director, I purchased a car (model ford fiesta) from your reputed company in the month of oct 09 through CSD. I liked the car and enjoyed the ride. But your recent offer of RS. 75,000/ off on the same model is giving me sleepless nights. I felt cheated because its only one month back I had purchased the same car for atleast seventy five thousand costlier than today's price. This is not a good gesture from a reputed and prestigious company like yours. I know that I am not the first person to write you there would be many more feeling the pinch after this offer. Seventy Five thousand is a very big amount for a salaried person I hope you can understand and do the needful from your side. May I request to offer few good reasons for this false play.
