A New SUV from Renault

Renault may surprise Indian customers with its brand new SUV Duster at the Delhi Auto Expo. Renault badly needs a successful model in India. It had launched Mahindra Renault Logan in India which is an entry level sedan. The model has faced challenges to reach volume sales for the company even though it possesses an attractive range of features.

Renault Duster is also built on Logan platform and is suitable for those looking for a conventional SUV. The car features a 475L boot and 200mm ground clearance. It is 4.3m long and 1.8m wide offering comfortable interiors and seating space. The large boot capacity is an additional welcome feature in the model. It is powered by 1.6L petrol engine producing 110bhp of maximum power and 1.5L dCi diesel engine producing 85/105bhp of peak power.

Renault Duster is already ready to be launched in Russia and Brazil and the company is contemplating its options to bring it to India as well. The model comes with 2WD and 4WD options with automatic transmission.

A perfect SUV means 4x4 and enough seating space and comfort and very compititive price. since I am using Logan Diesel for last 2and1/2 years done 70000km its very economic on pocket if the Duster will be of same performance it will certainly give a boost to Renault since in my view M&M is not capable to give service backup to the company.

we indians despirately need good suv in honest price ,good milage n value for money. I feel renault will deliver good vechile now learning from its previous failer n low sales.if vechile is priced between 5-7 lac will deliver result n high sales

What are the specifications of Renault Duster? Is it 7 to 9 seater like other SUVs? Hope the vehicle will have all safety aspects. Cup holders, flight tray, spects holder, etc. are not safety accessories, which normall some SUV manufactures mention.
