90 Years of Citroen – Picture Gallery

Citroen is celebrating its 90th anniversary throughout 2009. The French firm is responsible for introducing the DS and 2CV models apart from bringing impressive concept cars to various motors shows. Apart from being a strong contender in the auto market, the company also sports a strong pedigree on the race tracks. Most recently, Frenchman Sebastien Loeb’s dominated the World Rally Championship.

Citroen also held a special fun-filled evening with French-themed entertainment at the Ace Cafe London on Saturday, October 03, 2009 as a part of its celebrations. Around 200 Citroen owners, collectors and members of the public were in attendance with more than 60 models on display representing nine decades of Citroen history.

A competition, hosted by various TV presenters was held to award the best presented car from each decade. The entrants included member vehicles from the Citroen Car Club, 2CV GB Owners Club, Citroen C4 Owners Club and the Traction Owners Club.

It also released an advertisement depicting 90 years of French car building along with highlighting features of 2CVs and DSs sliding round corners.
