2011 Audi A8 Details Revealed

01 December, 2009, 10:10 IST by Satish Kalepu

The Audi A8 is a luxury four-wheel wonder that is perfect blend of power and panache. This sedan is laden with comforts and looks that are lauded by luxury car segment buyers. Audi has now revealed details of latest model of Audi A8 that will hit the UK market by March 2010. The latest model will take its designing cues from A4 and will completely replace its current styling. It will be bigger than its predecessor and will have more width than existing Mercedes S-class or BMW 7 series.

The new Audi A8 will be powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 engine with eight speed transmission delivering 372 hp and featuring all wheel drive. The current Indian model has 4.2L Quattro petrol engine that delivers 335 hp. The latest Audi A8 surely looks like a model giving a tough ride to BMW 7 series with looks coming from over-exaggerated chrome grille, back-end fitting of blade runner and huge LED headlights. The new model also consists of revised all-aluminum chassis which is 25 percent more rigid than the existing model. However, even after the replacement, the new Audi A8 is at least 30 kgs lighter than the existing model. The new technological features in new Audi A8 are headlined by a new finger-writing multimedia operating system. The A8 also breaks new ground with its aerodynamics with a 0.26 co-efficient of drag that are impressively slippery for a sedan.
