2010 Model of Ranger Rover and Discovery 3 in Indian Market

New 2010 models of Tata Motors' Premier Car Division Head Rohit Suri. He also stated that Discovery 4 model with upgraded features in the existing model. However, he did not reveal what will be the new features.

Tata Motors has already started taking bookings for the new models due this November. It launched Land Rover Freelander 2 in India yesterday which is available in price range of Rs. 33.8 lakh to Rs. 45 lakh. "India will certainly play a significant role (for JLR) in the foreseeable future. There is an immense potential to grow provided the duty structure changes and consumers look increasingly toward lifestyle vehicles," said company's President (Passengers Cars) Rajiv Dube.

Dube also stated that Tata Motors did not expect volume sales but intends to mark a competitive presence in the Indian premium car market segment. He commented that only German cars pose a competition to JLR range of models but comparing them feature to feature none of them are wholesome competition.
