The BMW X6 luxury crossover-coupe is one of the popular celebrity cars that is also owned by Salman Khan, Fahad Fazil, Sanina Nehwal and Sreesnath.
The X6, BMW’s first ‘Sports Activity Coupe’ (SAC), was launched back in 2008. The crossover is the perfect blend of an SUV and a coupe’s attributes. The X6 is power-packed with a twin-turbocharged, six-cylinder diesel engine, which is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic sport gearbox. The gearbox offers multiple driving modes that can be selected through the gearshift paddles or gear lever. The engine is refined and quick. The crossover is also available with a new TwinPower turbo V8 petrol engine, boosted with direct petrol injection and BMW EfficientDynamics technology.
Most BMW cars are known for their exceptional driving dynamics and handling, so as the X6. It runs smoothly across different rev-ranges and the power delivery is linear and instant. The suspension, absorbing jerks and potholes on rough surfaces, further enhances its handling and stability. The ride is comfortable on smooth roads. The optional Active Steering improves revs and assistance at low speeds, while reducing applied lock and assistance at high revs.
What adds more to its off-road stability and traction are the intelligent BMW xDrive four-wheel drive system and Dynamic stability control.
