From Suniel Shetty’s choice of cars, it is clear that he is a huge car enthusiast. He owns an Audi along with a mesmerizing Hummer H3. His interest for such SUVs makes him one of the few proud owners of Hummer cars in India.

Suniel Shetty comes in the category of those people who give a new definition to celebrity cars in India. Hummer H3 has been priced over Rs. 50 lakhs, which seems to be just too much to spend on an automobile. But when one gets interested in something, he must achieve it, provided he has the funds for it. This is what Suniel Shetty did.

It was in the year 2005, when Mr. Shetty had to pay a huge amount of duties for his H2 that landed up in the office of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. This was a result of the photographs of him with his Hummer, which he imported from the United States without paying the required amount of duty. Leaving the past behind, Shetty is now extremely possessive for his H3, which also has only a limited number of units in the country.

Hummer Cars in India are a piece with only a handful of celebrities owning them. When the Punjabi singer, Jazzy B bought his yellow coloured Hummer, it became a hype in the country with every celeb talking about it. Jazzy B also mentioned his SUV in many of his songs, which was followed by the spinner of Indian Cricket Team, Harbhajan Singh, buying the black variant of this car.

Hummer H3 seems to be overpriced, but if the configurations of this car are considered, then this seems to be a good deal. The first variant of Hummer H3 was launched with a 3.5-litre 5-cylinder engine, which could churn out a power equivalent to 220 bhp, and could produce a torque of 305 Nm at its highest speed. It also came with a standard five-speed transmission in manual configuration along with the option of upgrading it to an automatic four-speed transmission system. Possessed with extra safety features, this SUV is best suited for high power requirements along with riding in style. This is what attracted Suniel Shetty towards it, and led him to lay his hands on this monstrous vehicle.
