I am presently residing at mumbai,i also hv myaccomodation in pune.
Iam intrested in buying i20 asta o from pune, n will prefer to get it registered in mumbai,i am told that
1) NOC will be required from the pune rto..
2) octroi will be required to be paid at mumbai?????
3) registration process n tax or smart card procedure involves a month time.
my query is in regard to 2 & 3
when car was 1stregisred at pune octroi by pune muncipality was paid,why is it than again while transfering in same state octroi is required to be paid. do 1st owner/purchaser entitled to any refund of octroi paid.?
why is it a mont h time required for transfering registration?
what is the approx cost for this service by rto approved agents.

I have purchased second handle Hyundai Accent GLX car in Mumbai and have use it in Bangalore.
I need to change the registration of car from Maharastra to Karnataka.
I visited RTO office and they told me apart from RC book, NOC and Insurance they require that Original Invoice of the car at the time of purchase which I do not have nor my previous car owner.

The RTO require this to check the Ex-show room price at the time of purchase in order to calculate the Road tax here.

I am struck here. So please guide me how to proceed.
