I purchased one Hero Honda CBZ while at Mumbai inMaharastra. Now I got transfer to Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. Tomorrow I may get transfered to Karnataka or Tamilnadu. My question is there any national tax or permit for two wheelers so as to enable me to use my vehicle where ever I go. legal experts please respond.

i want to purchase a car registered in goawhere the taxes are less, but i have a driving licence from karnataka where i stay. is there a way to avoid being harrased by traffic officials from karnataka. i was given to understand that if i produce another residential proof from goa, i might be let off by the traffic oficials. kindly guide or provide any solution. thanks in advance

Sir, I have a 8 year old maruti esteem DELHI registered. IN2005 When i shfted from delhi to hyderabad i took NOC for hyderabad but never registered. NOw i am staying at mumbai permanently and delhi RTO says we can not issue NOC for mumbai.I had already paid maharastra road tax 21000/- on advice of traffic police and rto officer.Please advice how can i transfer the car to mumbai registration.

I purchased a brand new bike in Chennai in February 2008and got it registered it in Tamil Nadu. In the month of July 2008, I migrated to Noida (UP) and brought the bike with me. While leaving Chennai, I got an NOC for Delhi region issued for the bike. That was July 2008. Ever since, I never bothered to get a UP registration (my folly!) and kept on driving the bike with a TN registration and other up to date papers.

Now, I need to sell the bike, which is in excellent condition and has done only 6800 km. How can I go about doing that, completing all legal formalities for transfer of ownership? If getting the bike re-registered is not possible, how can I sell it off and obtain the papers that would NOT cause any liability for me in the future in the unfortunate event of the bike meeting with an accident, etc?

Hi, I am planning to buy a maruti swift. The dealer says Ican avoid paying life tax if my job is transferable and pay annual tax. Is this the right choice? Does all the states take annual tax? If so on what basis it is calculated? Will I be able to take a life tax later on in any state and will I get any reduction for the yearly taxes I would have paid? Please advice.
