HI EXPERT,
i want to purchase a car registered in goawhere the taxes are less, but i have a driving licence from karnataka where i stay. is there a way to avoid being harrased by traffic officials from karnataka. i was given to understand that if i produce another residential proof from goa, i might be let off by the traffic oficials. kindly guide or provide any solution. thanks in advance

I am a resident of Andhra Pradesh. I plan to buy a used carfrom other state. do i need to pay the tax again? As somebody says the vehical can be used anywhere in India. Is it advisable to buy a car of other state?

i am planing to import a kawasaki ZX-14 (ltd edition) tomumbai. kindly let me know which country to import from(i.e for good quaity + reasonable price) also wat % would be the import duty on brand new ZX-14 to mumbai & the excise duty % ,octroi %, registration cost & any other taxes or expenses if any applicable on it.

My car met with an accident 28th October 2012 & has beensent for insurance claim requesting you to please guide us on the issue & revert so that we can look in to the matter as per Rules & regulation of Karnatka R.T.O.
1) IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RULES FOR DELHI & KARNATKA RTO.
2) THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS, SO I WOULD BE GETTING A NEW CAR WITH DIFFERENT ENGINE NUMBER & CHASSIS NUMBER BUT WITH THE OLD REGISTRATION NUMBER SO ARE THERE ANY FORMS OR FEES THAT APPLIES TOWARDS THE SAME.
3) WILL I HAVE TO PAY THE ROAD TAX AGAIN .
4) IN REFFRENCE TO POINT NO2 CAN I APPLY FOR NEW NUMBER ASWELL.

I purchased a Maxhindra XYLO at Bangalore during July 2012.I have been a resident of bangalore for the last 16 years. Now I have moved to hyderabad. from today WB Government is going to introduce new lifetime tax for new car but what about the older car's tax? How would that be implimented? Besides my modern cars like Swift, Qualis that I use regularly I have two other cars for occassional use, one is 1964 Ambassador and other is 1943 Willys Jeep for off road driving and I cant understand how these two will be taxed? Please help me. Thanks.
