I am a retired person and am planning to buy my first car for exclusive personnel use. My monthly usage will be around 500-600kms. My budget will be approx. 2.5-3.0 lacs. I would be thankful if you could clarify the following as well as give a suggestion from your end as I do not have any experience of using different cars.
(a) Should I go for petrol/diesel car?
(b) As I looking for a less maintenance car, should I go for a used car?
(c) I am looking for a moderate comfort and good mileage.
(d) Being a retired person, you please consider my pocket for spending on a car while suggesting one.

Yesterday i got my car transfered on to my name. They gave me a smart card registration. My car is optra 1.6, but they have printed it as opel 1.6. Now is that a problem. The agent said i need not worry as 'GM' is mentioned on the card. Should i get it corrected or can i continue as it is? Will it have an effect when claiming insurance or selling the car?
