Recent engine related questions

i have a palio 1.9 its run for about 68k kms & form coupleof days there seems to be problem with fan belt(auxiliary belt) & alternator bearing,tensioner ,when dropped at fiat showroom they are quoting 23k to mend with part...could somebody please suggest should i go ahead & get it done & the will it of said parts cost so much?

Is there any genuine price list for car parts? because forpalio that all shop owner can fix the price for the parts, there is no standard Retail price i think, and in chennai the parts movement is very less for palio.

My car is FIAT UNO,last day the car stop running by givingmissing sound trough silencer.Petrol is pumping when we accelerate,current is coming to all starting plug cable,wheels are rotating,but car can't start.It's not firing.before,it run without engine oil for apx:30 km.so if the piston become stuck what remedy i have to take in easy way.what is the best way to start my car?

Dear sir(s),
i have selected fiat punto diesel, though myrunning is 400 km/month, but punto patrol have some mileage issues. i want to know that whether the multijet engines need to start every day or if i drive the car after an interval of 2-3 days will it be creating some problem. and last but not the least what is the actual performance of multijet engine in terms efficiency, maintenance, value for money etc.

Hi,

I have a Fiat UNO AC petrol Yr. 2000 done 34000 km.The engine gets heated up very fast. Had the cooling fan start up once the ignition is on... It has worked for sometime, but not sure if it can take me long distance (50 - 100 Kms). just wanted to know what can I do get it corrected. Also, fuel efficiency is a matter of concern as I get around 5-6 Kms per litre w/o AC...is it ok or am I expecting more....Thank you
