this is comparing the Oldsmobile autobahn Aurora to thenon- autobahn version. 2 identical cars in every way, weight, cod, horse power and torque race each other. they have the same gear ratios and number of gears. the ONLY difference is the final drive. one car has 3.48:1 & the other has 3.71:1 presuming both cars start at the same time, which one will win 0-60 & in the 1/4 mile? remember the one & only difference between the cars is the final drive ratio. i can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere and when we race it's back & forth. so neither model clearly wins every time. i want a straight answer from a mechanical perspective. thanks in advance.
