Fiat palio 1.3 mjd. Blower fan working only on 4 setting.
I know possibly fan resister has packed.
I wish to know from learned faculty to let me know how to approch blower motor connections.
fiat service and advisers were contacted by email but no response from them.
Possibly Mr Shiwa may help

Hi,
As the blower is working and problem is with respect to speed adjustment.As speed is controlled by varying resistance through blower control switch.The malfunctioning of Blower control knob could be the cause.Remedy would be to get the same replaced. Posted: 251 day(s) ago |

The switch could probably have some carbon deposits and if cleaned by WD40 could be used again. As advised the best option will be to replace the switch if possible and can be easily done from the dash-board itself.

a definite no to what the experts have suggested ,its not the switch but the resistor which is under the dashboard on the left side of the blower which is to be replaced ,am sure bcoz faced the same problem with my s10,,palio has typical problems which is common in all palios,otherwise this gas guzzler is solid car and pleasure to drive .

go to expert mechanic,, to locate resister which need to replaced in your case i m sure,, i got t replaced in my car recently,,,, will cost approximate 250 bucks only with fittimg .. go to local expert car electrcian .. nothing to worry drive safe.....regards

as mentioned in my earlier answer the resistor is under the dashboard on the left side of the blower any odinary electrician can replace it in minutes and yes kumar is right it cost around 250/bucks ,the unfortunate thing about palio and ikon is that these cars are too advanced for any odinary road side mechanic so the simplest way for the mechanics is to ask the owner to sell it off.

Dear Mr. Siva, I am Rathish a k a Ratz, I am an auto
enthusiast but unfortunately working in different section despite knowing my passion is automobiles and to further narrow cars and bikes (bullets), higher interests for former.
I try to help people with some basic car queries, many a times in car trade. I have an issue with my Palio stile multijet.
A local garage guy put in a swift turbo instead of fiat turbo and there is leakage, blacksmoke ( rubber hose is cut) and no pickup.
question is
1. Is it possible to fit another turbo from another brand multijet ( i thought all multijet turbos were same)?
2. currently the connecting hose position is akward and clearly shows no free airflow from turbo to engine and exhaust. Can I alter the same pipe in a free flow manner and fix with the current turbo (swift) and run the car?
3. or should i replace the turbo.
Need your help, i am on it for some time now.

i have booked Quanto C8. i want to make somemodifications A) i want to replace middle seat with Scorpio middle seat because i want central armrest.B)i want to replace present tyres with better & broader tyres C) I want to remove the spare tyre at the back & keep it inside. are these modifications possible at the dealer? i think scorpios width is similar to quanto , so replacing seat should be possible.....I am not in need of the third row of seats. I would rather place a parcel shelf behind the second row of seats.please reply.
