HI,
I am planning to buy a diesel hatch and am confused between Swift Vdi and Ford Figo Diesel EXi. I live in NCR and looking for a good VFM car. Figo impress me with it space but not sure about its diesel engine performance. Swift on other hand is proven but lacks space.

Hello Shals, there are lot of parameters to compare but at last always Swift is better than Figo in terms of VFM because though u pay more u get more value. However, u need to wait to reap the complete benefits as the major difference in maintenance comes after 3 years only. If you have no issues with the waiting period, I would suggest you to get Swift.. Its worth a buy.

The Figo is a fun car but it looks very cramped for space from the outside. The swift is more spacious, I wonder why you mention otherwise. But hell only breaks loose when you get to see the repair bills so may I suggest you book the swift and keep your eyes and ears open to see if there is any mishap in the Maruti production line when your baby gets made. When you take delivery of the car get it checked to ensure all the parts are properly fitted and the bolts in place. You never know, once bitten twice shy.

There should be no second thought about Swift...New swift is not only improved physically but also possess a more refined diesel engine and chassis. Figo may go for a facelift soon, hence resale value of existing model would go down. Swift even the old model carries a better resale. Go Swift.......

buy the skoda fabia diesel. it is the big B in hatchbacks .amazing mileage,superb handling,gr8 space,and muscular looks.do u need anything else. test drive and find out.

Hi,
Performance of Figo is good and highly reliable.The boosting factor for Swift is the service network and good lot presence on road.If preference is for performance,styling,newness and recognition then Figo would be better option. Posted: 303 day(s) ago |

buy figo as swift is more expensive in term of maintenance for example the new swift uses syntactic oil as it is more expensive compared to other oils as old swift oil change was costing 1000rs new swift 3000rs only for oil change ,see and compare regular maintenance cost swift vs figo u will know the difference ask both dealers for servicing cost from 1st to 6th servicing up-to 60000km u will know the difference for yours kind information i own 2010 swift vdi ,2011 ritz vdi,

i am suresh from Kakinada.Planning to buy tomy first Car.My Usage will be restricted to weekends and an approx. of 500 km monthly and a drive of 500 kms once in 2 months.
My budget is around 6 Lakhs.A max. of 7.5 lakhs.Hence i am looking for Sedans like Swift desire ,Honda Ameze ,Tata indigo Ecs ,Manza .Choverlet sail,Ford classic ,Hundai accent and Toyato Etos . I am unable to pick the correct sedan which is suit for my requirement. Diesel would cost a lakh more.And since my usage is limited, i feel diesel/petrol would not make much difference.
i have shortlisted Swift desire ,Honda Ameze ,Tata indigo eCS ,
Mileage of 18km in City and 21 on Highwayy would be good for me.
Please advise with your valuable experience

80km/day, comfort ride and low maintenance is priority. i have shortlisted i20 magna (o) and swift star vdi.after taking test drive i found swift ride quality in rear seat and rear legroom space is not good comparing to i20 but maintenance cost , fuel economy and

Hi - I am driving an SX4 for last 5 years. 60k kms going
steady & satisfied. I am 42 years old with growing up kids (9 & 13 yrs). Decided to buy 2nd car so that it is convenient for wife too. Budget 5 - 8 lacs. Dilemma is 1) should I upgrade myself to a bigger/better car OR 2) buy a relatively smaller one for wife (who is quite new to driving). One factor we thought which was in her favour to go in for Automatic Transmission so as to give her more comfort. We stay in Mumbai (Powai) & expected running of both cars will be less than 1000 kms/month (hence thought of a petrol version). Pl suggest. Budget can a bit more flexible. Personally I like verna too.
