safari and renault duster have maximum speedometer reading upto 200 km while xuv 500 and even ford figo have a reading of 220 km. does it affects the performance and maximum speed of the vehicle

It wont affect performance of vehicle.Though a vehicle can be driven maximim speed as marked.In Indian road conditions, speeding beyond 160 KMPH would be bit risky. Posted: 313 day(s) ago |

Vehicle manufacturers are normally buying the speedometer from other suppliers like pricol etc. The maximum speed and the maximum reading capacity of a speedometer has no connection. even the vehicle can run more than the reading capacity of the speedometer if there is suitable road conditions. But the maximumspeed allowed in Indian roads are 70KMs in most of the roads.

i am suresh from Kakinada.Planning to buy tomy first Car.My Usage will be restricted to weekends and an approx. of 500 km monthly and a drive of 500 kms once in 2 months.
My budget is around 6 Lakhs.A max. of 7.5 lakhs.Hence i am looking for Sedans like Swift desire ,Honda Ameze ,Tata indigo Ecs ,Manza .Choverlet sail,Ford classic ,Hundai accent and Toyato Etos . I am unable to pick the correct sedan which is suit for my requirement. Diesel would cost a lakh more.And since my usage is limited, i feel diesel/petrol would not make much difference.
i have shortlisted Swift desire ,Honda Ameze ,Tata indigo eCS ,
Mileage of 18km in City and 21 on Highwayy would be good for me.
Please advise with your valuable experience
