Audi recently launched its all-new Q3. Would it be a good idea to buy this car or should I opt for some other cars in the range of Rs. 20-25 lacs?

Audi Q3 is the perfect blend of looks with performance. This can be the car of your choice owing to the powerful 2.0 L TDI Quattro powertrain delivering 185 hp and a maximum torque of 380 Nm. The car also comes with a 2.0 L TFSI 4-cylinder in-line petrol option which offers 208 hp of power and 300 Nm of torque. Both the units come coupled with a 7-speed S-tronic transmission.

I would suggest you to go for BMW X1, which is posing stiff competition to the phenomenal Audi Q3 in every aspect. The car is also priced quite competitively as compared to its rival. Like its competitor, X1 is also offered in both petrol and diesel powertrain versions. The car also scores ahead of the Q3 in features and looks.

You can opt for Mitsubishi Pajero sports, which has a great on-road presence with its cutting-edge styling. The car is powered by a 2.5 litre 2477cc DOHC diesel powertrain, which was built to produce 175 bhp of power and peak torque of 400 NM. This unit comes coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox and offers a four wheel drive system.

I would suggest you to take a look at Ford endeavour, which is one of the best contenders in the price bracket that you have mentioned and has recently received a facelift. It comes in two powertrain options of 2.5 litre and 3.0 litre. Both units are available in 4*4 and 4*2 automatic transmission options.

You should take a look at Hyundai Santa Fe, which has been launched in two trims viz two wheel drive and four wheel drive. The car is available only in diesel option, which must suit any Indian customer considering the wide price gap between petrol and diesel. The powertrain serving Santa Fe is a 2.2 L 2199 cc CRDI diesel unit.
