Evaluating both cars on technical grounds, Toyota Corolla Altis Aero is the better option. Maximum power churned out by the engine of this car stands at 138 bhp, while Civic offers 130 bhp. Besides technical specifications, Altis has slightly better handling than the Civic, which makes it more practical in normal city driving conditions.

Performance of Altis might be better than that of Civic, but it cannot outpace the latter in terms of safety package. Honda Civic boasts of a large number of safety features that ensure total safety of its passengers. Features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), fog lamps and seat belts with pre-tensioners are available in both cars. In addition, Civic has one-touch automatic power windows and keyless entry system with answer back option, which are hardly seen in other cars of same segment, including Corolla Altis Aero.
