In terms of engine there is no difference, Skoda and Volkswagen both use same engine manufactured by Volkswagen. In term of design polo will one step ahead. For resale point of view again polo will have an advantage as maintenance for Skoda car is higher.

VW Polo is definitely a better pick over Skoda Fabia. Well Polo has a 1.2L engine and Fabia has 1.4L engine. It uses different engines but its built on same chassis though. I am saying this after having knowledge of cars over 10 years. And as far as maintenance of both the cars goes, its the same because i have owned both the cars. VW is a German car and Skoda is a Czech car but VW owns Skoda though.

Sorry to say u my friend , but now both the car comes with same engine , buit by vw it self , in fabia u will get more leg room and head room as campare to polo . Drive is better in fabia ,

First of all,congratulations for deciding over right options-Fabia and polo.
I have been owning older version Fabia last stock Elegance diesel version for 1 year. An excellent car,very stable.VW Polo is also very good,but to me Fabia strikes as a more spacious and comfortable car.It has a massive boot.But suspension on polo is more smoother. Mitsubishi launched cedia with some new additions in terms

Dear Shiva- I would like to buy a second hand sedan
car(preferably diesel). My budget is 4 lacs.
My usage would be daily 20km and monthly maximum 600 to 800km(including weekend long drives). I would like to hold this car for maximum 2 years.
I have considered the following cars:
1. Lancer diesel 2006 onwards
2. Verna petrol 2008 onwards
3. Verna diesel 2006 onwards
4. Honda city petrol 2009 onwards[only new shape, I m looking for]
Could you please let me know your thoughts?
As everyone wants, I m looking for less maintenance cost, good mileage.
I have got a lancer 2006Lxd for 3lacs 50 thousand(3.5 lacs), which has run for 1lac kilometres. Is it worth buying that car? Seller claims car is in good condition. Please advise me.
