I want to buy a diesel powered mid sized sedan mainly for city driving, with emphasis on mileage. Apart from Maruti Suzuki SX4, what other options do I have?

For the kind of usage mentioned, Mahindra Verito would be a ideal selection for best of mileage, price and utility.

Yes, I agree. I just love Mahindra Logan. its so good on road even at high speeds.breaking is supereb and interiors are spacious, but did not like the quality of plastic and seats. Ford Classic with a lakh more will give you all.

I feel that Maruti Suzuki SX4 is the best option for city driving as its engine can produce its 88 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The features of the model are also world class and it is easily manoeuvrable, thus making it perfect for cities.

It depends on you budget. The various options are
Dzire, Manza, Sunny, Verito.
Linea, Verna Fluidic, Vento, Rapid.
All of them has there strengths and weeknesses. Eg: Vento, Rapid - Power and Torque / Turbolag, Linea - Ride and Handling / Fiat, Verna - Interiors / Sub Par handling etc. Based on your budget and pref. please test drive and decide.
