Are you planning for diesel or petrol ? The Etios is not as well built as the other toyota cars as there has been a lot of cost optimization. The Verito is good a diesel car not as petrol car and if you are OK with its looks. All round which ticks on all options the Dzire wins out in the comparison of the three. It has balanced performance - petrol and ofcourse diesel a build that is better than toyota but lesser than Verito and looks that is better than Verito and may be Etios also..So its your choice. But if you dont really need a Sedan, the superb FIAT Punto is always available which has the size of a sedan and which beats all other cars in terms of comfort, mileage, handling and styling..

I think and the best bet would be in sedan class the Maruti Dzire in diesel version.
The others have their some or the other short comings. Suggest Dzire for all round economy

Without any doubt the New Swift Dzire whether Diesel or Petrol it is a Class apart in every aspect except for the compromise on Luggage / Boot Space

I think Verito is best if you are looking for Diesel car. Its very low at maintenance and very high at mileage. Dzire is good overall, but I have seen that Maruti car are not good after mileage of 50000 kms. Verito or even Manza is good for long period use say minimum 100000km

Among the options mentioned, Mahindra Verito would be ideal selection for best of performance,mileage,comparitive cost effectiveness.However in terms of styling and onroad image,Etios would be better.

Come on guys think beyond Tata's and Maruti's, this is not years 1990's where we didn't have the choice. Compare specifications, and quality standard's Maruti can never give you that performance which Ford, VW, Skoda, Hyundai can give.Personally experience all these and then decide. Don't go by general thinking like cheap spares, you will need spares only when your vehicle breaks down and vehicle breaks down only because of CHEAP SPARES until unless its an accidental case.

I wont tell that those cars or not good . but always maruthi leads because maintance low as well as for every 20kms ,maruthi service centers. best in class mileage . got good ground clearance . also with k-series engine with VVT technology .

compare to all side VERITO is to be a best option! due to in future we can convert into CNG, verito has 510 ltr boot space, Dzire don't have a enough space after CNG fitting.

By reviewing all ur answers I am sad no one realises the quality and revolution toyota has put in its etios.I am sure its not good looking but performance the one behind the bars will realise its power it puts the desire to dust control awesome stering mound designed like a true race car take a test drive and enter ur answers wisely !

comparing with Dzire, Etios s best in Boot space,leg room
Etios s also the best one.
Bcoz dzire comes under 4m length so there s no lot of space in the cabin...
If space is no problem 4 u means go for Swift dzire....
Other than space thr s no problem in the Dzire.
Maruti is providing many features in its higher end (Zxi or Zdi) model...

After taking a survey for more than 6 months would suggest you that (dzire,verit & etios) all have a few drawbacks. As on date the new Etios GD could be a far better choice as it has got improved ground clearane 174mm and much more. Dzire is good in terms of enginer perf. but the space makes pillion passengers uncomfortable a lot. Verito is nice but the engines throttle and frequent clutch issues makes it 2nd in choice. Its purely my own opinion - others excuse.
