I have a maruti swift diesel purchased in sept 2010, recently i have changed the engine from mineral to synthetic. What i observe is the mileage has dropped can the change of oil be the reason. Can i revert back to mineral engine oil ?

sir , i am planning to buy my first car, my daily usage
80km/day, comfort ride and low maintenance is priority. i have shortlisted i20 magna (o) and swift star vdi.after taking test drive i found swift ride quality in rear seat and rear legroom space is not good comparing to i20 but maintenance cost , fuel economy and
